Quick Weight Loss Tips

Hey Guys

So as I mentioned in my the About Me section, I always had to fight a few extra pounds. Unlike my sister who can eat whatever she wants without gaining weight (even after having two lovely kids), she is still thin. It was clear from an early time that I am simply one of those people who has to be careful with what they eat and having to work out! Turns out,I really like to go the gym. I find it very relaxing! So thank you extra weight for that 🙂

In terms of food, it is very simple what I do. I try to avoid starchy food all along, especially in the evening. Of course the temptation is all around and you gotta stay strong, especially at the begging of your diet!

We all have days where we binge like crazy, be it when you have a girls night with tons of ice cream and chocolate or because you were traveling. Whenever this happens to me, the next day I follow a strict diet that will make me lose the weight immediately that I had gained.

I do one of the following:

  • Only eat protein and steamed vegetables
    • Reduced fat diary products and tons of steamed fish or lean meat. I absolutely avoid salt! I don’t want to retain any water and for your side of vegetables you can always add some oyster sauce or simply play with garlic and herbs like cilantro or thyme. It isn’t very hard. Make sure you drink lots of water and tea (I love Green Tea) and you will see the next day your scale will be your friend again
  • I only eat fruit for one entire day
    • All kinds of yummy but not too sugary fruits during the day. My favorite for this is Watermelon! It has a high water content and it is so delish! I also have oranges, berries etc. but I try to avoid eating too many Bananas (I have max one) and grapes.
    • Again make sure to drink lots of fluids
  • I only have potatoes for the entire day
    • I know this may sound weird and believe me at the end of the day you will be sick of potatoes. You should steam potatoes and have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner and avoid adding salt to it. Again drink lots of water and tea and don’t eat too late at night. You will see the next day you will be much lighter.

I hope this helps all of you! I do a day like this once in a while when I feel that I gained some weight back and it helps me keeping it down in the long-run.
